Bis on Main restaurant was opened in downtown Bellevue in September 1998 by Joe Vilardi and Michel Fredj. Bis means ‘two, twice or another' in French and Italian and seemed the natural choice for a Parisian and an Italian-American who had been friends for over 25 years at the time. They are still best of friends, but one year after opening, Joe took full ownership of the restaurant.

Our dedication to quality and customer service have established Bis on Main as one of the Seattle area's finest restaurants and a favorite of many of our city's most notable personalities. Our dining room is perfect for any special occasion, business dinners or anytime you simply want a great meal. Our private dining room seats up to 40 people and the entire restauant is available for up to 130 guests. We offer a full premium bar and an award winning wine list with over 300 selections from California, the Northwest, Italy, France and South America.

Late Night Happy Hour

(please note that due to COVID-19, we will not be able to offer happy hour nor our bar menu until we enter Phase 4 of the State of Washington's Corona Virus Response Plan)

Bis on Main features Late Night Happy Hour seven nights a week in our cozy bar and lounge.  Monday through Thursday, Happy Hour commences at 8.30pm and at 9pm on Friday and Saturday.  On Sundays you can enjoy Happy Hour pricing all evening, from 4.30pm until closing.  We have special pricing for the entire bar menu, all our wines by the glass, our specialty cocktails, all beers and all well drinks too.  Last food order each night is 10.30pm and 9pm on Sundays.  We hope you will join us!

The bar and lounge is open until 11pm, Monday through Thursday, and until midnight Friday and Saturday. Last orders for food are 10.30pm each night and we offer continuous food service in the lounge Monday through Friday from 11.30am 'til 10.30pm.

Since opening in 1998, Bis on Main has been fortunate to display the paintings of many fine local artists.

A rotating selection of modern Northwest Art fill the walls of our dining room including works by some of the Northwest's most renowned artists such as Alden Mason, Michael Schultheis, Lois Silver, Joseph Kinnebrew, Anne Siems, Joe Max Emminger, Marianna de Hart, Tyson Grumm, Carolyn Krieg and many more.

Our art partner all these years has been the Seattle Art Museum's Rental Sales Gallery and their director, Jody Bento. We encourage you to visit their gallery at 3rd & University where you can see the work of many local artists and have the opportunity to rent pieces for your home or business three months at a time.

Our Staff

Our kitchen is run by Chef Sal Gonzalez.  Our fine kitchen crew includes: Ernesto Molina, Ben Jones, Armando de la Luz, Eduardo Lopez, Jose Rodriguez, Jorge Pena, Salvador Hernandez, Carlos Quiroz and Hector Mendoza.

Our front of the house crew includes Tim Shea, Richard Hager, Lance Winn, Walter Vianello, Greg Abajian, Anthony Hodge, Kristen Jaglois, Lesley Maha, Denise Ingram,  Jose Roa, Jason Bosshart, Brendan Cox and Robert Langdon.

All of these nice people receive daily beatings to maintain morale.
